The Ultimate Camper Pizza Adventure with Webcamper

Camper trips are all about embracing the open road and relishing the simplicity of life on wheels. With a camper like the one provided by Webcamper (Check them out here), your journey reaches new levels of comfort and convenience. On my recent adventure, I was blown away by the incredible features, including adaptive cruise control, which made driving a breeze. But what truly stole the show was the fully-equipped kitchen, perfect for whipping up camper-made pizza! The only thing missing was a pizza oven, but I came prepared with my trusty Ooni Koda 16, which you can find here.

The Camper Pizza Recipe

Creating the perfect pizza in the heart of nature is a true adventure in itself. Here's the recipe for the camper-made pizza dough that I used to craft my delicious pies:

Pizza Dough Ingredients:

- 650g pizza flour (11% protein content)

- 400g cold water

- 15g salt

- 8g fresh yeast (or 4g dry yeast)

Pizza Dough Instructions:

1. Preparing the Dough:

- Start by melting the yeast in 3/4 of the water, ensuring it's well dissolved.

- In a large bowl, add the flour, and slowly pour in the water with yeast while kneading.

- Once the flour absorbs all the water, let the dough rest for 15 minutes (autolysis time).

- Melt the salt in the remaining water, and slowly add it to the dough while kneading at medium speed.

- Knead until the dough is soft and homogeneous.

- Give the dough a spherical shape and place it in a clean bowl, covering it with plastic film.

- Let the dough ferment overnight in the camper fridge.

2. Getting Ready to Cook:

- About 2 hours before cooking, remove the dough from the fridge and transfer it to a surface.

- Divide the dough into 4 smaller dough balls.

- Cover the dough balls with plastic film and let them ferment for 2 hours at ambient temperature.

3. Pizza Time:

- Preheat your trusty Ooni Koda 16 pizza oven to its maximum temperature.

- When the center of the pizza stone reaches 350°C (about 660°F), lower the flame.

- Cook the pizza with your favorite toppings for 1-2 minutes, turning it for even cooking.
